Research: Cement-based/geopolymer composites for bio-corrosion resistance in sewage pipelines (Jan-Dec 2023)
- Developing low-carbon materials and their placement technologies as a repair coating, which can cost-effectively prolong the lifespan of sewer infrastructure through enhanced resistance to Microbial Induced Corrosion (MIC)

Research: Fly ash-based geopolymers for immobilization of nuclear waste containing cesium (2016-2022)
- Investigated the effects of process parameters on the geopolymer’s synthesis, microstructure, phase compositions, and cesium immobilization using factorial experimental design and ANOVA
- Studied the kinetics of zeolite crystallization in FA-GP systems and established its relation to Cs immobilization
- Achieved significantly enhanced Cs immobilization via a one-step synthesis and chemical route

Research 1: Salicylic acid–PCL based biodegradable polymeric implant for cancer therapy and anti-cancer applications (Dec 2015-May 2016)
- Prepared and evaluated salicylic acid-based polymer delivering an anticancer drug for post-surgical chemotherapy against cancer xenografts
- Assessed its in vitro drug release profile
- Analyzed the post degradation products
Research 2: Development of particulate reinforced boron carbide-based composites for high temperature application, in collaboration with Bhabha Atomic Research Center, India (Dec 2015-May 2016)
- Synthesized materials for neutron absorbance in nuclear reactors
- Characterized the thermal, themo-electrical, electrical and mechanical properties of these materials
Research 3: BrahMos Project; Ultra high temperature ceramics for hypersonic vehicle applications (Dec 2015-May 2016)
- Assisted in synthesizing ZrB2 based ultra-high temperature ceramics
V. Master's project and internship, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
Research 1: Package integrated high density thin capacitors and inductors (Jan-Mar 2015)
- Anodized and fabricated several Ta capacitors using different Ta anode thickness (80nm or 380nm) at different voltages (8V, 25V, and 60V)
- Achieved lower dissipation factors, higher breakdown fields, narrower breakdown distributions, and lower leakage currents
- Analyzed the anodized tantalum oxide films for high-charge-storage capacitor applications
Research 2: Nanomagnetic composites for antenna application (June-July 2013)
- Fabricated variety of metal polymer systems with different composite loading for high frequency
- Achieved significant enhancement in the volumetric density of components while simultaneously increasing the performance with miniaturization
- Demonstrated high permeability with low coercivity and loss while retaining stability at high frequencies

Research 1: Synthesis of bioactive glass Nano-powders by sol gel process (Feb-Sept 2014)
- Synthesized bioactive glass nano-powders by sol-gel process at significantly lower temperature compared to conventional melt processes
- Characterized and tested the biocompatibility of the BG nano-powders with simulated body fluid (SBF)
Research 2: Study on Bioactive Glasses (Aug-Dec 2012)
- Synthesized substituted BaO bioactive glasses by melting raw materials at 1400 degC with air as furnace atmosphere
- Achieved improved properties for all the barium substituted bioactive glass samples
Research 3: Commercialization of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (Dec 2011-April 2012)
- Synthesized Co-doped Ceria electrolyte (Ce1-x-yLaxSryO2-(x/2+y)) for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells and designed pellets
- Analyzed effect of heat treatment on the pellets
- Concluded that conductivity and crystalline size of the samples increased with temperature
